    Hello all-
I just got my Addy back from the doll hospital, but I want to take the wig from the new head and put it on the old head. Does anyone have some good tips on how to do this? I need to get the new head wig off without damaging it? Thank-you thank-you. Shanna

I've removed 2 wigs from AG dolls, and both of them were only glued around the edge......no glue on the rest of the wig. Since you don't want to mess up the hairdo, I would make sure to put a hair net over it, or something to secure it, and then gently start pulling the wig from the back of the head to loosen it. Then when you get about 3-4" loose, you can usually pull the whole thing forward, and get it off, all in one piece. I always started from the back, so as not to mess up the front. This method worked the best for me.

It is so easy to take the wig off! Just start with th eloosest spot, pul slowly, but firmly. They come off easier than I expected!! Is your Addy a pm? I had thought about epople doing soemthing like that anyway. Good luck with it!

I had the head replaced on Lindsey, and they returned the old one.
You need to tell them to use the string to replace the head.....not the plastic zip tie, and ask them to return the old head. You need to have the string, so you can switch the heads, after you switch the wig, if you want to make your doll as original. I wrote a big note, and put it under a rubberband around her stomach, and also wrote the same instructions on my hospital admission form. My Lindsey had spots on her face, that wouldn't come off, and I wanted to keep the old head, just because it was Lindsey, and she's LE.

    Thanks everyone-
I hope that her wig comes off with no trouble. My Addy is PM, and I took the head off before I sent her so I knew I would have her head still, but when I got her back, they had also switched her limbs because the old didn't match her new head...so she has to go back and they are going to put the old ones back on...sigh. I also left a note specifying that I wanted a string and what do I get back...a zip cord. It does get a bit frustrating, I left such a detailed note specifying exactly what I wanted, but at least it's fixable. What if the wig is stuck too tight, is there anything to losen up the glue? Thanks again

Shoot! I just tried to pull off the old wig and I put holes in it (now this doesn't matter with this wig since it's getting tossed, but I'm a bit worried about ruining the new wig is there anything to make it easier?) Thanks

I was thinking of doing that for my darling PM Molly.
Would love for her to have pretty hair again.
shes pretty now,but her hair is so thin from yars of little girls brushing away at it,and no matter how careful they were she still lost a lot of hair.
Then I'd have an extra head..hummm...
Will they FOr SURE return your old head with the replaced one???
